COVID Guidelines

TASP follows the guidelines from the CDC, NYS Department of Health, and the Tompkins County Health Department.  As you know, the guidelines change frequently so our protocols do as well.

We work to make our spaces as safe as possible.  We have 5 air purifiers which are started approximately two hours prior to the program.  All areas in which children are located (other than the bathrooms) have air purifiers running throughout the program time. The area is cleaned using covid-effective disinfectants daily.

All staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Staff has rearranged spaces to provide more distance between children when possible.  We also placed limits on the types of activities open so that children are not playing as close together.

All children and staff wear masks both indoors and outside.  Children remove them only when eating their snack; they are not 6 feet apart but sneeze guards are placed between them.

When a positive case is identified, we immediately notify all families.  Our staff works to determine who would be considered a close contact and those families are contacted directly.     All children are monitored for any symptoms.
